For this reason, we reserve the right to limit the number of adults to two per family.

Daily in July and August as well as during the Bavarian school holidays
Tickets for the children’s tours are available online in the ticket shop. A limited number of tickets can also be purchased at the ticket counters at the landing stage on the island.
Special tours at the palace for kindergartens, school classes and youth groups can be arranged on request. This applies if the pupils are under 18 years of age or if they attend a general education school. The tours themselves are free of charge. A small reservation fee is charged for the booking. A minimum group size of 15 participants is required. Unfortunately, reservations cannot be made for smaller children’s or youth groups. However, the palace administration will always try to arrange the tour as soon as possible after your arrival on the island. Further information is available directly from the Herrenchiemsee Palace administration.
Pirate Treasure Hunt on the Bavarian Sea
Using a “real” treasure map, the pirates set off on an adventurous journey. The waters of Lake Chiemsee stretch out deep and mysterious beneath the pirates’ ship. The voyage takes us to the island of King Ludwig II: Herrenchiemsee. This is where the exciting search begins. But beware. Tricky traps, challenging tasks and the legend of the lake monster “Batus” make the quest more difficult.
On the island, the adventurers take a horse-drawn carriage ride to the royal palace. Afterwards they join a spooky tour through the palace, where they must keep an eye out for an important clue. With the help of this clue, the hopefully successful search with the treasure map begins for the well-hidden treasure of the pirate captain “Fischunkel”.
