Children's tours of Herrenchiemsee Palace...

  • Children's tours (interactive, family-friendly guided tours, ideal for children aged between 6 and 12) are regularly available during the summer and during all Bavarian winter holiday periods, at 11.05 am, 1.05 pm and 3.05 pm. Outside of Bavarian holiday periods, there is only one children's tour a day during the winter (Nov - Mar), at 3.05 pm. Please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by at least one adult.  More information is available directly from the Palace Department.
  • Special tours of the palace for pre-schools, school trips and youth groups can be arranged on request (provided the children are under 18 or come from a mainstream school). These tours are free; a small reservation fee will be charged. Groups must consist of at least 40 participants. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve tours for smaller groups of children and/or youths. The Palace Department will, however, make every effort to always conduct the tour as soon as possible after you arrive on the island. More information is available directly from the Herrenchiemsee Palace Department.
